“The original Zafira was the MPV that showed Renault, Ford and Toyota how it should be done, with car-like dimensions, clever fold-flat seats and oodles of interior space. It was such a good package that even in the last year of production (2004-2005), it was still the biggest seller, taking one-in-five of all compact MPV sales. So there's no radical re-invention for this new model. The looks are more distinctive, with cues from the Astra and there are some neat touches like a storage boxes in the roof, headlamps that see around corners and keyless entry, but it essentially keeps to the same formula that's previously made the Zafira a winner. Every area has been tightened up, so the fold flat seats are easier to use and it's roomier inside.”
